ITINERARY
DAY 1
Arrival in Japan 
Private transfer from Narita Airport to your hotel in central Tokyo.   
 
DAY 2 TOKYO:  Enormous Metropolis

Explore the capital with your guide by private transfer. Tokyo shows the contrast of the old and the new - a lively fish market, the downtown Asakusa, high-fashion streets in Omotesando and Ginza, and a peaceful forest of Meiji Jingushrine.  A 360-degree bird’s eye view from a tower, a trip on a riverboat or a rickshow ride will present different angles of the city.  At night the city turns to a jewelry box of numerous sparkling lights. 

DAY 3 HAKONE:  Hot Springs and Nature

Travel to Hakone with your guide by private transfer. Hakone is one of the most popular hot spring resorts with beautiful nature, museums and good accommodation options.  A ride on a boat or aerial tramway around Lake Ashino-ko, or a visit to Narukawa Museum may give you a great view of surrounding nature and Mr. Fuji.   Check-in to your hotel and enjoy a hot spring bath, indoor or outdoor!

DAYS 4 & 5 KYOTO:  Traditional Beauty

Take a Shinkansen train from Odawara to Kyoto.  Don’t forget to look for Mt. Fuji along the way on a clear day.  Upon arrival in Kyoto, meet your driver and private transfer to your hotel.
The old capital has every landscape that represents traditional Japan – temples, pagodas, gardens, kimono-clad women, bamboo forest …. The highlights include the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji Temple), the dry landscape garden of Ryoan-jiTemple, Giondistrict and one thousand Buddha statues at Sanjusangen-do Temple.
DAY 6 HIROSHIMA (MIYAJIMA):  The Floating Shrine

Check-out and private transfer to Kyoto Station. Take a Shinaknsen train to Hiroshima. Upon arrival in Hiroshima, travel to the hotel by the hotel shuttle or on your own. Miyajima Island is a short boat ride away. Visit Itsukushima Shrine build on the ocean. It is called one of the three most beautiful sceneries of Japan.

DAY 7  7D - Going Home... 
Check out and take a flight from Hisorhima Airport to connenct to you internaitonal flight from Narita.  

9D - KANAZAWA:  Old Castle Town
Travel by train to Kanazawa (4.5 hours). Check-in to the hotel and at leisure.  

DAY 8  9D - GOKAYAMA & SHIRAKAWAGO:  Folk Houses with Thatched Roofs

A day trip by car to the villages of Gokayama and Shirakawago, another UNESCO World Heritage site (English speaking driver is subject to availability.) Travel back in time in the idyllic landscape of the old thatched folk houses surrounded by mountains.

DAY 9 9D - Going Home....
Check-out and take a flight from Komatsu Airport to connect to your international flight from Narita.
